What better way to celebrate and thank all our hardworking staff in 2022, than a spectacular Christmas Party – An action-packed day consisting of team building events, food and a few cheeky drinks.
We love getting together as often as we can and feel it is a really important exercise to allow everyone to contribute, from the ‘ground’ up. BMS is a national company with engineers all over the country, time with everyone together is rare so we like to make the most of it and with each member of the team arriving in Christmas jumpers our morning started full of Christmas cheer.
Our day started with a company update, involving a Q&A and a group discussion about the company and the plans for the coming year, followed by a quick catch up between staff.
After lunch, everyone was raring to go, we headed off for our team activities, consisting of laser clay shooting and archery.
The events started with an ice breaker before being split into 3 teams – blue, red and green.
After a quick introduction and warm up we had 2 competing rounds – the best shooting team (1 point per shot) followed by a rapid shooting round (bigger points for the quicker shot) – The blue team came out victorious with red and green tied for second place.
Then onto archery… we played the highest scoring team and an “around the world” game. The games finished with the blue team coming in last with red and green neck and neck. A shootout was required to get the overall winner – red and green shot simultaneously and it was the first to shoot the balloon on target.
This gave us our overall winner… the red team!
With the real winner, of course, being the entire team for the quality time spent together.
This was an essential team building exercise to get the entire team from all over the country together in one place to reflect on a great year and to “let our hair down”.
After all the fun and games we come together to enjoy dinner and a drink or 2, and a little dance into the night feeling very united as we push into 2023!
